Elena Marsh

Elena grew up in a red sandstone tenement flat in Glasgow's West End, three floors up a close that smelled of other people's cooking and never quite warmed through in winter. She's spent the best part of a decade as an astronomer, a couple of years as a terrible-but-enthusiastic potter, and every August since she was a child in the same rented cottage in Slovenia — a family habit she never grew out of. She is documenting her life for her daughter Nora — and finishing her father Arthur's archive, started in his last year.
